Taste of Atlanta will celebrate its 25th anniversary on April 16 at The Works on Chattahoochee Row, according to a March 16 announcement. The event will honor chefs, restaurants, and innovators who have contributed to Atlanta’s reputation as a leading food destination in the Southeast.

The festival is recognized for bringing together the community and highlighting the city’s diverse culinary scene. Dale DeSena, Founder of Taste of Atlanta, said, “Taste of Atlanta has always been about more than food—it’s about community, creativity, and celebrating the people who make this city’s culinary scene so vibrant.” DeSena added that the anniversary is an opportunity to honor those who have shaped the festival over the years.

Since its start in 2001, Taste of Atlanta has served as both a showcase for established chefs and a platform for emerging talent. The festival features tasting experiences, chef demonstrations, craft cocktails, and live entertainment. Over time it has remained focused on connecting attendees with local flavors and personalities.

This year’s celebration will include a reunion of notable figures from past festivals. Honorees include Hector Santiago of El Super Pan; Jamie Adams of il Giallo Osteria and Bar; Jonathan Fox and Justin Fox of Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q; Pano Karatassos Jr. from Buckhead Life Restaurant Group; Giovanni DiPalma from Antico Pizza Napoletana; Archna Becker from Bhojanic; and Woody’s CheeseSteaks.

Participating restaurants for the tasting portion include Bistro Niko, Bold Monk Brewing, Chicheria Mexican Kitchen, DAS BBQ, Delilah’s Everyday Soul, El Super Pan, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Il Giallo, Hattie B’s, Kyma, Mission + Market, Morelli’s Ice Cream, NFA Burger, Nine Mile Station, Pricci, Tandoori Pizza & Wing Co., Three Dollar Cafe, The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill, Tiny Lou’s, Woody’s Cheesesteaks and Your Third Spot.

Tickets are available through Taste of Atlanta and include entry to an after party at Your 3rd Spot at The Works. Sponsors for the event include Savannah Distributing Company and Coca-Cola among others. Mindy Selig, CEO of Selig Enterprises which owns The Works venue said: “Taste of Atlanta’s 25th anniversary belongs on a stage that celebrates food… We’re honored to host this event that’s deeply rooted in the city.”

DeSena concluded: “Over 25 years we’ve helped connect people to the incredible talent and diversity of Atlanta’s culinary scene. I hope the legacy is that Taste of Atlanta has played a role in helping Atlanta become the vibrant food city it is today.”
