Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill, located on Ponce De Leon Ave in Atlanta and part of the La Bonanza Hospitality Group, is set to reopen in late 2025 or early 2026 after renovations. The restaurant has been temporarily closed since a kitchen hood fire occurred in the early morning of June 1.

The reopening date will depend on how long construction takes. La Bonanza is working with Office of Design, an architecture and design firm based in Avondale Estates, to renovate the space. The company is also coordinating with the City of Atlanta to secure all necessary permits before reopening.

La Bonanza expressed gratitude that no one was injured during the fire and praised Atlanta’s emergency services for their quick response. “The company stated that they are deeply grateful that no injuries occurred during the June incident, and they commended the swift and professional response of Atlanta’s emergency services.”

Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill first opened in 2010 and has since expanded to other locations across Atlanta, including Buford, Buckhead, Cumming, Midtown, and Lawrenceville/Snellville. The brand also provides catering and food trucks through Bonnza Catering. In addition, La Bonanza Hospitality Group operates Azotea Cantina in Midtown Atlanta.
