Season 2, Episode 5 of the “Voice of Business” podcast focused on the practical applications of artificial intelligence for business leaders. Hosted by Nick Masino, President & CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the episode featured Dave McMullen, President of Media Frenzy Global.

During their discussion, McMullen recounted his experience founding an innovation-driven agency in the early 2000s and developing FaceDeals, a facial-recognition app that was featured on “60 Minutes” with Lesley Stahl. He explained how these experiences prepared him for current advancements in AI technology.

The conversation addressed how basic AI use cases such as “thinking and writing” remain foundational but are evolving. McMullen and Masino discussed agent-based AI systems that enable greater personalization at scale. They also highlighted the importance of balancing human skills with machine efficiency.

Masino noted that the Gwinnett Chamber is using AI to develop customized engagement plans for its members. The discussion included cautions about potential issues such as AI-generated errors (“hallucinations”) and legal concerns.

The episode suggested that future developments may lead to fewer standalone apps and less anxiety over science fiction scenarios involving AI.
