Ascent Hospitality Management has appointed Paul Damico as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company, which is based in Atlanta, oversees the family dining brands Huddle House and Perkins American Food Co. Both brands have a long history of serving made-to-order breakfast and all-day menus at nearly 600 locations across the United States and Canada.

Damico will be responsible for leading Ascent’s growth and modernization efforts. He will also seek to expand the company’s portfolio by acquiring additional brands that fit Ascent’s strategy and values.

“Hospitality is in my DNA, and I am invigorated by the opportunity to work with our franchisees and the Ascent team to drive growth of Huddle House and Perkins, two beloved family dining brands,” Damico said. “I look forward to cultivating a culture of innovation and teamwork at these iconic brands, ensuring our guests’ needs remain the top priority.”

With more than forty years of experience in food and beverage management, Damico has worked with several well-known restaurant groups. Before joining Ascent, he was CEO at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Global Franchise Group, and Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill. He also held senior leadership roles at Focus Brands, Inc., now known as GoTo Foods.

Damico holds an International Franchise Association Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation. He serves on the Board of the National Restaurant Association Fast Casual Industry Council and has been involved with both the Georgia Restaurant Association and Illinois Restaurant Association Advisory Boards. In addition to his professional work, Damico supports charitable causes related to children and food insecurity.
