Northside Hospital has been recognized as one of the nation’s top employers by Comparably, receiving honors in three categories: Best Perks & Benefits, Best Company Happiness, and Best Work-Life Balance. The awards reflect Northside’s efforts to support employees and maintain a positive workplace culture.

According to Northside, its commitment to excellence is evident not only in the workplace but also in patient care. In recent months, several hospitals within the system have received national accreditations and quality awards.

The Joint Commission awarded the Gold Seal of Approval to multiple Northside facilities for achievements in stroke and joint replacement care. All five Northside hospitals were named Advanced Primary Stroke Centers. Northside Hospital Atlanta and Northside Cherokee earned certification for Joint Replacement – Hip and Knee. Additionally, Northside Gwinnett was recognized as a Comprehensive Cardiac Center.

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), Office of EMS and Trauma redesignated Northside Atlanta, Northside Cherokee, and Northside Forsyth as Level II Emergency Cardiac Care Centers (ECCC). Previously, Northside Gwinnett and Northside Duluth had been designated Level I centers.

The Maternal Levels of Care Verification Program—run by TJC, DPH, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists—reverified Northside Atlanta as a Level IV maternal-care-verified facility. This is the highest level of maternal care; Northside was the first hospital nationally to receive this verification in 2022.

Northside Gwinnett also maintained its status as a Level II adult trauma center after a site visit by the American College of Surgeons.

Additional national recognitions include being listed among Forbes’ 2025 America’s Best Employers by State and America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals. Newsweek also included Northside among America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2025.
