Northside Hospital has been recognized by Forbes magazine as one of the top companies in the United States. The health system was named the highest-ranked hospital organization and is one of only 10 health systems included in Forbes’ second annual America’s Best Companies 2026 list, published on November 19. Northside placed 11th among 16 Georgia companies featured in the ranking of 500 organizations.

“This ranking is a direct reflection of the talent and dedication of our employees,” said Bridget Green, Northside Hospital’s vice president of human resources. “They’ve created a culture centered on exceptional patient care, and they deserve this recognition.”

Northside Hospital is considered one of the fastest-growing health care organizations in the Southeast, employing more than 32,000 staff members and working with over 4,000 physicians throughout its network. According to reporting from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, it is also one of metro Atlanta’s four largest employers.

Forbes evaluated U.S. companies with over 7,000 employees for its list, using more than 100 metrics across categories such as financial performance, customer sentiment, employee ratings, cybersecurity, and sustainability.

The hospital system has also received recognition from Forbes in previous lists for America’s Best Employers by State and America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals for 2025. Additionally, Comparably named Northside as one of its Best Places to Work in 2025 among large employers (those with more than 500 employees), highlighting categories including Best Company for Women, Best Company for Diversity, Best Outlook, and Best Career Growth.
