Northside Hospital has announced the addition of several new physicians and specialists to its network, expanding care options across Georgia.
In primary and same-day care, Dr. Saresh Akmal has joined Medical Associates of North Georgia at the Riverstone location in Canton. Dr. Curt Misko Jr., board certified in family medicine, is now seeing patients at Northside Family Medicine in Cumming. Dr. Andrew Reisman, a former president of the Medical Association of Georgia, has joined Northside Hospital Diagnostic Clinic in Gainesville.
Northside Primary Care has also added two physicians: Dr. Neisha Rougely at the Snellville location, who has special interests in diabetes, hypertension, preventive care, and lifestyle medicine; and Dr. Abiola Saibu at the Midtown location.
In specialty care, Northside has expanded its services with new providers in cardiology, neurology, and oncology. Dr. David Zapata, a cardiac surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, has joined Northside Hospital Heart Institute in Lawrenceville. Dr. Henssey Ngo, with specialized training in clinical neurophysiology, is now part of Laureate Medical Group in Sandy Springs. Dr. Naixin Zhang, an obstetrician and gynecologist specializing in gynecologic oncology, has joined Georgia Gynecologic Oncology – Gwinnett.
For surgical and trauma care, Dr. Taylor Norton has joined Northside Trauma Surgical Specialists in Lawrenceville. Theresa Motley, N.P., brings six years of pediatric surgery experience to Northside Neonatal Surgery in Sandy Springs. Tony Herrington, PA-C, is now with Northside Cherokee Surgical Associates.
Orthopedics and sports medicine have also seen new additions. Dr. Andrew Riga and Dr. Jason Schon have joined Northside Hospital Orthopedics Sports Medicine Specialists at locations in Cumming, Midtown, and Smyrna.
Alexandria Lawson has joined the Northside Center for Urogynecology as a physician assistant specializing in urogynecology.
North Point Pulmonary Associates has opened a new office in Johns Creek where Dr. Syed Arif Mahmood and Paul HwangBo see patients on Wednesdays.
