The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE-IAM) held a training session for 35 members of the Forest Service Council. The event aimed to help participants learn more about intermediate stewardship and improve their abilities in key union roles.

Jon Mikkelson, Secretary-Treasurer of the council, said, “Participants engage in specialized workshops to improve their skills in contract interpretation and in the formal grievance writing process.”

The training included targeted workshops designed to build confidence and practical knowledge among attendees. The focus was on helping members handle contract issues and manage grievances more effectively.

This initiative is part of NFFE-IAM’s ongoing efforts to support its members by providing them with resources and education relevant to their responsibilities within the union.
