Kyle Carroll has been named Special Representative to the Air Transport Territory of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), effective October 1, 2025. The appointment was announced by IAM International President Brian Bryant.

Carroll has a long history in the airline industry and has been active in union organizing efforts. He is a third-generation union member from Jersey City, New Jersey, and has been involved with IAM Local 914 and District 141 for many years.

“Kyle represents the best of what it means to be an IAM member — dedicated, experienced, and deeply rooted in our mission to lift working families,” said IAM International President Brian Bryant. “His decades of service in the airline industry and steadfast commitment to growing our union make him an outstanding choice to strengthen our Air Transport Territory.”

Carroll has worked as a Ramp Serviceman for Continental/United Airlines since 1993. Over his career, he has served in several union positions, including steward, committee person, committee chairman, and District 141 Assistant General Chairperson.

“I’m excited to welcome Kyle as our new IAM Air Transport Special Representative,” said IAM Air Transport General Vice President Richie Johnsen. “Kyle’s impressive resume, hard work for our members, and dedication to the labor make him an invaluable addition to our team.”

Carroll has nearly completed all classes at the Winpisinger Center and plans to use his experience to support union members. Outside his work with the union, he enjoys baseball, traveling, and spending time with his family.
