Fifteen members, staff, and activists from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) took part in an advanced Organizing III training program at the Winpisinger Center on March 31.

The program aims to strengthen the union by improving participants’ communication skills so they can effectively teach organizing strategies within their local unions. This effort is intended to support the long-term growth and stability of IAM’s presence in various industries.

During the week-long session, attendees from sectors such as air transport, aerospace, and automotive worked together to learn a range of teaching techniques and learning styles. The course focused on preparing them to lead their own organizing committees within their Locals.

A video report documenting highlights from the training was also made available for those interested in learning more about the event.

By equipping its members with these skills, IAM seeks to build a stronger labor movement through grassroots leadership development.
