IAM Union members from Local 2010 in Reston, Virginia, and Local 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas, are preparing for contract negotiations with the government contractor Leidos. Mark Costa, a member of the IAM negotiations team and a flight service specialist, described his role as providing essential weather and safety information to pilots. He stated that he and his colleagues are getting ready for discussions with Leidos regarding their employment terms.

Costa said, “My professional role is as a flight service specialist, responsible for providing critical weather and safety information to pilots.” He added that his team is working together with Local 2011 in Texas to prepare for the upcoming negotiations.

The IAM Union’s involvement reflects its ongoing efforts to represent air traffic controllers and related specialists during labor discussions with contractors such as Leidos.
