The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department is now accepting registrations for its upcoming Women’s Leadership Program and Advanced Women’s Leadership Program, both scheduled for March 2026 at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The Women’s Leadership Program will take place from March 1 to March 6, 2026. It aims to encourage union members to take active roles within their local unions and districts. The program focuses on building leadership abilities, as well as skills in organizing, parliamentary procedure, political engagement, legislative activity, strategic planning, and network development.

The Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is set for March 15 to March 20, 2026. This session is intended for members who have already completed the initial Women’s Leadership Program and want to further develop their leadership journey. Participants will continue strengthening skills in areas such as leadership development, organizing, parliamentary procedure, political involvement, legislative action, strategic planning, and network building.

According to the department, “Women’s Leadership Programs equip IAM sisters with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership.”

An official call letter provides details on tuition costs, transportation arrangements, and curriculum information. Interested members must register using the Departmental Program Registration Form.

The registration deadline for the Women’s Leadership Program is January 21, 2026. The deadline for the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is February 11, 2026.

Members seeking more information are advised to contact the Women’s & Young Workers Department at 301-967-4747.

The department encourages eligible members to participate in these educational opportunities as a way to build a stronger and more inclusive organization.
