Registration is now open for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Veteran’s Advocate Training, which will take place from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. The deadline to submit registration forms is Monday, December 15, 2025.

The training program is designed to provide IAM members with instruction on U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits. Certified professionals will lead the sessions. Members who complete the course will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team, which assists IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.

According to the announcement, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”

Details about tuition, transportation, and curriculum are included in the call letter distributed by IAM. Members interested in attending can register using the Departmental Program Registration Form.

For further questions or information about the training program, members are encouraged to contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
