Gwinnett County officials are set to provide an update on the county’s food distribution efforts and announce new funding for local food cooperatives. The announcement will take place at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center Breezeway in Lawrenceville on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
Nicole Love Hendrickson, Chairwoman of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, and Lindsey Jorstad, Community Services Director, will deliver remarks during the event. In addition to discussing ongoing initiatives, leaders will highlight upcoming meal distribution events.
The county continues to serve a diverse population through its public school system. Enrollment at Gwinnett County schools increased by less than 0.1% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). During that period, total enrollment reached 190,044 students (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students made up 18% of the student body, ranking as the third most represented ethnic group in county schools (https://www.gadoe.org/).
