Gwinnett County will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. The event has been moved indoors to the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center Auditorium at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville due to cold temperatures. Attendees are asked to enter from the front of the building rather than through the parking deck entrance.

Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson will lead the ceremony, which honors those who have served in the military. Commissioner Kirkland Carden and Commissioner Jasper Watkins will also provide remarks. The keynote address will be delivered by Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and Retired Army Sgt. Maj. Kerry Dyer.

Following the ceremony, Chairwoman Hendrickson’s Stand Down event will offer resources and services for veterans and their families.

Enrollment at Gwinnett County schools increased by less than 0.1% during the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, according to data from the Georgia Department of Education. In that period, Gwinnett County schools enrolled a total of 190,044 students (source). White students made up about 18% of this student population (source).

“Remarks will be provided by Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, Commissioner Kirkland Carden and Commissioner Jasper Watkins.  Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and Retired Army Sgt. Maj. Kerry Dyer will deliver the keynote address.”
