Gwinnett County Clerk of Superior Court Tiana P. Garner is set to host the fourth annual National Adoption Day Celebration, which will recognize children, teens, and adults in Gwinnett who have been adopted.
The event will include stories from adoptive families, county officials, and community advocates who will share their experiences. According to organizers, the gathering aims to highlight the significance of adoption and its impact on both individuals and families. “The celebration will feature heartfelt stories from adoptive families, County officials and community advocates, each sharing their experiences of love, hope and new beginnings,” said organizers.
Attendees can learn about the adoption process and celebrate the importance of family during the event. The celebration is scheduled for Friday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center auditorium in Lawrenceville.
“Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn more about the adoption process, celebrate the importance of family and recognize the lasting impact of providing a child with a forever home,” according to event information.
Space for this in-person event is limited; registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis at GwinnettCounty.com/AdoptionDayRegistration.
Gwinnett County schools enrolled 190,044 students during the 2022-23 school year, with enrollment increasing by less than 0.1% compared to the previous year (https://www.gadoe.org/). White students made up 18% of the student body during that period (https://www.gadoe.org/).
