The Gwinnett Chamber has secured a renewed five-year certification from the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (GACCE), reaffirming its position as one of Georgia’s leading business organizations. The announcement was made at the 2025 GACCE Board Development Conference in Albany, Georgia.
“Earning state-level certification from GACCE is a distinction that reflects the strength, integrity, and commitment of our organization and its people,” said Brad Carr, Chair of the Gwinnett Chamber Board of Directors and Partner at Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C. “I commend our Board of Directors, Chamber leadership, members, and staff for their tireless efforts to uphold the values that define one of the nation’s leading business communities.”
The Georgia Certified Chamber program began in 2011 to acknowledge chambers that evaluate their operations to identify strengths and address challenges. The goal is to help these organizations deliver high value to their members and local communities.
To receive this certification, chambers must demonstrate strong performance in several areas: organizational structure, service capacity, professional administration, financial management, communications, and advocacy. The process follows standards similar to those used by the U.S. Chamber’s accreditation program and highlights a commitment to accountability and operational excellence. This year only four chambers in Georgia—Eatonton-Putnam, Habersham, Newton, and Gwinnett—were recognized out of more than 190 statewide.
The Gwinnett Chamber represents over 2,100 member businesses. It plays an active role in economic development initiatives such as attracting talent and supporting business growth within the region. The chamber holds national recognition as a Five-Star Accredited Chamber and was named the 2023 Chamber of the Year for its operational standards and measurable impact.
