Season two of the “Voice of Business” podcast, produced by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Business RadioX, opened with a discussion on women’s leadership. The episode, titled “The Moxie Mindset,” featured Audra Cunningham, Executive Vice President at ACRE, and Melissa Meeker, CEO of The Water Tower. Nick Masino, President & CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber, hosted the conversation.

The guests discussed what it means to have “Moxie,” defined as courage, determination, energy, and enthusiasm. They addressed how these qualities influence women’s roles in business and the broader community. The episode included a focus on the annual Moxie Awards, which recognize women leaders in Gwinnett.

Cunningham and Meeker shared their personal leadership journeys and spoke about mentorship and its impact on professional growth. The conversation also covered recommended books for lifelong learning such as “Let Them” by Mel Robbins, “You Are a Badass” by Jen Sincero, and “Never Eat Alone” by Keith Ferrazzi.

Listeners heard perspectives on overcoming setbacks and embracing change within careers. Both guests offered advice for future leaders and emphasized building supportive networks.

The podcast series aims to provide insights into leadership development, small business growth strategies, economic development trends, and inclusive business practices through interviews with prominent business figures.

“Moxie is about having courage and determination,” said host Nick Masino during his introduction to the show.

The next Moxie Awards event was highlighted as an opportunity to celebrate achievements in women’s leadership within the local business community.

The podcast is made possible with support from Capital Restorations as a sponsor.
