The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce hosted its biennial Candidates Forum on April 13, bringing together all five candidates running for the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Districts 2 and 4. The event took place ahead of the upcoming General Primary and Nonpartisan Election, with early voting set to begin on April 27 and Election Day scheduled for May 19.
The forum gave business leaders an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates as they discussed their ideas on development, infrastructure, and economic growth in Gwinnett County. The discussion highlighted the importance of leadership, community partnerships, and policies that support a strong business environment.
In District 2, incumbent Ben Ku will compete against Lilburn business owner Rodolfo Ochoa in the November general election. For District 4, incumbent Matthew Holtkamp faces Republican challenger Arefeen Chowdury in the May primary; Democrat Benjamin Culberson will run against either Holtkamp or Chowdury in November. The districts cover several cities including Lilburn, Buford, Sugar Hill, Braselton, Rest Haven, Auburn as well as parts of Lawrenceville, Norcross, Snellville, Dacula and Suwanee.
