More than 30 business leaders attended a recent session of the Gwinnett Chamber’s Small Business Series, which focused on emotional intelligence and leadership resilience. The event was led by Dr. Rhonda Anderson, Principal and Chief Talent Development Officer at Silver Hawk Coaching & Consulting. Dr. Anderson guided participants through the fundamentals of emotional intelligence (EQ) and its application in leadership roles.

Attendees learned how EQ can improve team dynamics, communication, and organizational resilience. The session included practical examples and concluded with each participant developing a personalized action plan to encourage professional growth and long-term success.

The event was sponsored by Comcast Business and Oconee State Bank. Their sponsorship supports the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to provide professional development opportunities to the local small business community.

According to the Chamber, the Small Business Series offers entrepreneurs and executives a platform to share insights, connect with peers, and develop leadership skills. The Chamber encourages those interested in future events or small business resources to visit their website at gwinnettchamber.org/small-business-series.

“Participants explored real-world applications of EQ in leadership and walked away with a personalized action plan designed to foster growth and long-term success,” said Dr. Rhonda Anderson.

The Small Business Series remains a resource for local business leaders seeking to make a positive impact within Gwinnett’s business environment.
