Georgia Gwinnett College junior Shone Cherian, an information technology major, has secured a competitive internship with the National Science Foundation. The achievement came with guidance from Dr. Cengiz Gunay, associate professor of information technology, and support from Career Services supervisors Dr. Roslyn Brown and Whitney Smith.
Cherian participated in programs at Florida International University and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as part of the internship experience. Following these programs, he received a part-time job offer in cyberinfrastructure that will extend through May 2026.
