The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta has announced the reappointments of Melissa B. “Missy” Rogers and William J. “Bill” Bynum to the board of directors for its New Orleans Branch. Rogers was reappointed by the Board of Governors, while Bynum was reappointed by the Atlanta board of directors. Both will serve three-year terms ending on December 31, 2028.

Rogers is the president and founder of Noble Plastics, located in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. Bynum serves as chief executive officer for Hope Credit Union, Hope Enterprise Corporation, and Hope Policy Institute in Jackson.

Other members currently serving on the New Orleans Branch board include AJ Kumaran, co-chief executive officer of Raising Cane’s Restaurants in Baton Rouge; William G. Yates III, president and CEO of W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company in Biloxi; Kimberly Fontan, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Entergy Corporation in New Orleans; and Shelby Russ, president and CEO of AOS Interior Environments in New Orleans.

According to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, branch directors play a role by providing economic information from their respective industries and regions to both the district bank’s president and head office directors. This information is considered during discussions about monetary policy options and discount rate recommendations. The Board of Governors appoints three directors for the New Orleans Branch board, while four are appointed by the Atlanta head office directors.
