The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced a new organizational realignment intended to support the Administration’s energy policy goals. The DOE states that these changes are aimed at improving its ability to implement initiatives related to expanding domestic energy production, advancing scientific and technological leadership, and maintaining the safety and readiness of the country’s nuclear weapons stockpile.
U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright commented on the decision: “Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, the Energy Department is aligning its operations to restore commonsense to energy policy, lower costs for American families and businesses, and ensure the responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.” He added, “These changes will help us better execute the DOE mission of delivering affordable, reliable and secure American energy for the American people.”
Further details about this realignment are available from the DOE.
