The U.S. Census Bureau released on April 9 a downloadable file with estimates of the nation’s resident population by single year of age and sex as of July 1, 2025.
These new figures provide updated demographic information for researchers, policymakers, and the public. The data help track changes in the country’s population structure over time.
According to the Census Bureau, additional releases are planned in the coming months. These will include housing unit estimates for the nation, states, and counties, as well as population estimates for cities and towns. Further updates will provide more detailed breakdowns by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin at various geographic levels including metropolitan areas and counties. Estimates for Puerto Rico Commonwealth and its municipios by age and sex are also scheduled to be published.
